Twenty One Barrels Winery & Cidery
Danielle and Shaun Pierce began dating in 2012, and during a visit to several vineyards in the Leelanau Peninsula of Michigan in 2013 the young couple pondered how difficult could it be to make wine and grow grapes? That question initiated their new hobby of making wine and cider. By the summer of 2014, the couple was producing wines which had won awards in amateur wine competitions across the United States. The couple married in 2017 and continued to dream about turning their passion into reality.
In 2018, the Pierce’s purchased a 20 acre farm outside Bradford, Ohio in Darke County to develop into a vineyard and winery. The couple moved into the 1800’s farm house, and began to remodel it.
All wine and hard cider is hand crafted on site by Twenty One Barrels. We utilize a mix of estate grown and locally sourced fruit and juice to produce our award winning hard cider and wine. We hope you enjoy every sip!
